Orchard House Surgery staff and family hit the streets of Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 22nd June to raise money for the St Nicholas Hospice.
It was an organised event with over 1000 walkers in total, it was warm and it was so much fun. The 10k route was varied, uphill and downhill with very interesting sights and entertainers encouraging us along the way.
We felt the 10k was enough for us all, we had water, sweets, chocolate and one of our youngest team members Luna (2) in a pushchair to keep us going. We all had matching t-shirts with face glitter stickers to make the team stand out.
We walked and talked and met so many lovely people on the way, altogether we raised over £1200 for the charity and we really hope to do the same next year.
We wanted to thank all our kind patients who donated and the charity for putting on a well organised event, we really enjoyed ourselves getting fit, taking in the atmosphere and raising lots of money for a charity close to our hearts, personally and professionally.
