As we continue to move through the vaccination program we urge everyone to be patient. There are a lot of people to vaccinate and shortly we will be doing 2nd doses as well as 1st doses for patients.
To date Forest Heath PCN (Orchard House Surgery, Oakfield Surgery, The Rookery Medical Centre, Reynard Surgery, Brandon Medical Practice, The Market Cross Surgery, Forest Surgery & Lakenheath Surgery) have vaccinated 19,431 patients.
All patients cohort 1 – 6 have now been contacted, if you believe you are in one of these cohorts please contact the practice to arrange your appointment.
The Cohorts are explained here.
We will now be inviting Cohorts 7 – 9 in turn;
Cohort 7: all those 60 years of age and over
Cohort 8: all those 55 years of age and over
Cohort 9: all those 50 years of age and over
On Thursday it was confirmed that following the completion of Cohorts 1 – 9 the vaccination program will continue. There will not be any further occupational prioritisation for vaccinations, the remainder of the population will be vaccinated within their age group. After everyone in cohorts 1-9 have been offered their first vaccination the following groups will then be staggered as such:
- all those aged 40-49 years
- all those aged 30-39 years
- all those aged 18-29 years
The target is to vaccinate all adults by end of July.
