Covid-19 Vaccination Update – 4/5/21

Second Vaccine:
We are currently up and running and progressing with the wave of second vaccinations. Once we are in receipt of the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines, we are contacting all patients that are due within the timescale of their first, to book them in, either via text message (self booking link) or by phone.

These vaccinations will take place where the first one was administered. We are unable to provide the second injection, if the first was booked via the national booking centre or elsewhere. You will be offered the same vaccine as your first.

If your first vaccine was more than 11 weeks ago and you have not heard from us, please contact us on 01638 666887.

For the appointment, a consent form is not needed, only the card supplied with the first vaccine.

50 Years Old and Younger:
Unfortunately, due to sheer volume of patients within these cohorts and our staffing levels, we are not providing vaccinations via the surgery. If you are under 50 years old (in cohorts 10-12), you will need to book via the online national covid booking centre or call 119.

Immunosuppressed Households:
Those patients that live in the same household as an immunocompromised patient, are now entitled to have a vaccine. (Under 30 year old patients will have to have the Pfizer vaccine). We will contact you if you fall within this criteria, alternatively you can contact us on 01638 666887.
